This policy covers both this website and the Baishya Silk Emporium app for Android and iPhone. We collect what is needed to take an order, deliver it, and answer you when you write. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, so we can process and deliver an order.
Your order history, so we can answer questions about past purchases and handle returns.
Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
Basic technical information such as browser type and pages viewed, used to keep the site working.
You can create an account with an email address and password, with your phone number, or by choosing “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Apple”.
If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us.
If you sign in with Apple, Apple shares your name and email address. Apple also lets you keep your address private: choose that and we receive a relay address ending in privaterelay.appleid.com, which passes our email on to you without ever showing us the address behind it.
We use what they send for one purpose only: to create and identify your customer account, and to email you about orders you have placed.
We do not use Google user data, or what Apple sends us, for advertising. We do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to anyone else except where it is needed to deliver your order.
Card and UPI payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card details are entered on Razorpay's systems and are never sent to, stored on, or visible to us.
We receive only a payment reference and its status, which is what lets us confirm your order.
Order and account data is held by our cloud hosting provider, which stores and processes it on our behalf under a data processing agreement and does not use it for its own purposes.
Transactional email is sent through our email provider solely to deliver order confirmations and replies.
We retain order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.
You can opt out of any non-essential email at any time; order-related email is necessary to fulfil a purchase and cannot be opted out of separately.

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember the contents of your bag.
